Michael Karwoski led the Yale men's lacrosse team in scoring this spring and was named offensive MVP. Will Gano was voted the Bulldogs' top defender. Both seniors earned spots on the Division I 2009 Turfer/NEILA All-New England Team that was announced today.

Karwoski, a midfielder from Greenlawn, N.Y., was a first-team pick. He led the Bulldogs with 29 goals and 40 points. He had a point in 12 of the 13 games, including a pair of five-goal outings. He was named Ivy League Player of the Week after tallying six points in a 14-13 OT win at Penn on March 14.

Gano, who was Yale's shutdown defender, made second-team All-New England. He had all the toughest assignments, and Gano made opponents use second and third options on a regular basis. He started all 13 games and had 18 ground balls.
