TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alina Liao competed in the NCAA North Central Regionals as an individual all-arounder, finishing in 15th place with a 38.25. She earned a 9.6 on vault, 9.375 on bars, 9.7 on beam, and 9.575 on floor. She competed in the same rotation as Central Michigan, who received fourth place in the team competition.

The meet was won by Alabama, with a 197.000. Oklahoma was the runner-up, scoring a 196.600. They will represent the region at NCAA Nationals, held at Nebraska in two weeks.

Liao, Sarah Hughes, Brigitte Kivisto, and Allison Mak will be competing in the Collegiate National Championship at SCSU next week. The competition starts on Thursday, Apr. 9, at 5:00 p.m.
